I was hoping to get away and do some photography this weekend after I had finished work for the year but the weather has had other ideas. So I thought I would dip into the archives and see what I could find for you all. This is an eight image panorama from my Tasmanian holiday back in May. I spent 6 nights at Cradle Mountain hoping for some clear skies and I only got this very small window of somewhat clear skies on the last night. Even then dawn was rapidly approaching and the sky was getting brighter by the minute, hence the "blue hour" sky colour which is washing out the Milky Way a little bit. A few minutes after taking these images it started to rain once again.
Canon 5DMkII, 14mm, F/2.8, ISO 3200, 8 x 30 seconds.
