The central bulge of The Milky Way returns to the night sky and landscape astrophotographers the world over start getting excited. I had about 5 minutes to shoot this this morning between the nearly full moon setting behind me and the approaching dawn starting to wash out the stars. Still need to wait a few more weeks for it to move a bit further away from the sun. Can't wait. Got big plans for this year. Stay tuned.

Heck, Greg, when the sky starts to get dark there for you *I* start to get excited...I don't believe I've ever seen the appearance of the Milky Way before--I've never considered it like the moon phases, but it makes sense now that you take it out of the light. You've expanded my appreciation for nature and the night sky Thanks for that
