A small diversion from my usual night sky photography. An approaching storm on the 23rd of December. This one was headed straight for me and I had a garbage bag ready to go over the camera as soon as the rain started. About three minutes after doing this two image panorama the heavy rain started and I had to run for the car. Lightning was a lot closer than it appears here due to the wide angle lens and the field of view.

But you were right to run...Rain is not our cameras friend

It's cool how I first found you on DA, then found Shaun through you and Datazoid too, so oyu can't blame me for hanging around bugging you guys--It's all because of your shot with that strange sign and the milky way.

Storms have been few and far between for me this season so far. Good to finally get some action.
