Over 180 degree 17 Shot panorama taken on the same night as "Broken Dreams" The left of the frame is north-east. The central bulge of the Milky Way is east with the light below that towards the horizon is the faint glow of the coming dawn. The windmill tower is south and pointing at the Southern Cross (Crux) constellation. The clump of trees is south west and the faint green cast is air glow and is caused by natural oxygen in the upper atmosphere

i think what appeals to me most is how much of the sky is seen here. usually you get a closeup of some celestial object or a section of sky. they seem so isolated. then when you do find a total sky pic its showing the star trails. that just seems too surreal. i think what this photo does so well is put the vastness of the universe and its detail, in stark contrast with the little mechanisms that we construct here at home.
what was your exposure time for each shot if i may ask?
