Finally remembered to post this. In order to get the shot "Orions Fury" ([link]) I set up my camera on a tripod and started shooting 30 second exposures one after the other. This is a stacked image of all those shots- giving startrails and every lightning bolt in one. Comprised of about thirty seperate images for a total elapsed time of 15 minutes. As I mentioned in "Orions Fury" the wind was very strong and my camera was being buffeted. This is especially evident in the jagged nature of the star trails. I have since upgraded my tripod for a more robust one, so bring on the next storm........
