I recently asked my watchers if I should experiment with something different like Macro Water Drops or Infrared photography or stick to my mainly sky based photography. The general thought was yes go for both but there was also a fair percentage that wanted to see IR photography more than water drops.
So here is my first try at an IR shot. By using a filter you can capture the IR light being reflected off various objects. Unless you go to the trouble of having your camera modified the addition of the filter means long exposure times. Landscapes are then generally the prefered subject for shots like this. Tutorials like this [link] have been a big help and explain a bit about how the colour is achieved.

I would love to know what you think of this. Do you want to see more like this???
yes i bought a modded 350D, no live view so focusing gets that bit harder but i have literally halved my exposure times and still end up with more faint stuff, just waiting on the coma corrector now
